Description
Gear drive mixers are used for stirring heavy fluids and slurries or large batches of thin liquids. They adopt high pressure angle gears which can offer quiet operation and high shock loading capacity. Gear drive agitators utilize oversize tapered roller bearings on the output shafts to provide excess capacity to adjust the loads. Heat and shock loading is isolated with a flexible coupling between the motor and gearbox.
Components
Gear drive mixer consists of motor, GLEASON gear, gearbox, mechanical seal, shaft, impeller and leaking stop device. Gear drive agitator is available in top and side entering designs, with accessories ranging from simple open-tank plate to complex mechanical seal systems. Drive housing can be corrosion resistant. The gear drive mixer machine is also available with carbon steel, exotic alloys or coatings when required.
